Brief History

Murky Depths rocked the speculative fiction world with its confounding mix of art and literature in a graphic-novel-style package from 2007 to the end of 2011, ending with issue #18. It's successful five-year run has influenced the UK publishing scene and struck a chord with many readers and contributors. It won Best Magazine/Periodical at the British Fantasy Awards in 2010 and was shortlisted again in 2011. While it is no longer published the latest and back issues are still available.

Within its glossy laminated cover are top quality speculative fiction stories with sprinklings of horror and fantasy that push the boundaries of science fiction. Each story is complemented with its own unique artwork. Cutting edge graphic stories, articles across the genres, interviews, and mixed disciplines add authority, humour and maybe a little controversy. Can you afford to pass on this?
