Legion
Scott Stewart

The end is nigh. God has finally decided that humanity has had enough chances to get it right and he's going to wipe us all out. And so he sends the heavenly hoards down to exterminate the species.

Fortunately for mankind there is one hope, and Archangel Michael (played well by Paul Bettany in his first action role) is etermined to seize it. So he cuts off his wings and heads for a remote truck stop in Nowhere's Ville, USA (middle of the Mojave desert to be accurate) to ensure the waitress's baby, mankind's one hope, can be born.

Cue a seemingly unending mass of possessed, demonised people attacking the truck stop with only Michael, the staff and visitors of the diner and the Archangel's serious arsenal of automatic weapons (Angels with guns are cool) in between them and the end of the race.

There are some great effects in this movie, most particularly the sight of a really sweet looking octogenarian lady going evil on us and the fight between Archangels Michael and Gabriel. But, in truth that's all there is. As a film it's a total no-brainer.

You really can set your brain on pause for the hour and a half or the movie. If you want detailed plot, don't look here. Violent in the extreme, irreligious to say the least, Legion is tremendous fun in the way Arnie films used to be.
